I would very much like this build to remain within our guild. I wouldn't like it to become popular.
It's very difficult to play, don't start out with it xD

*Mask of Domination Magic
*Major Domination Magic Rune
*Superior Illusion Magic Rune
*Minor Fast Casting Rune
*Full Radiant set (fill everything else up with energy giving runes :p)
*Insightful Pvp Inscribed Staff of Defence (Dom. Magic, nrg+5, HCT(20)).
*Energy set
*Defensive set
Usage1) Tell your team you are playing a Grenth's Balance (GB) build, and ask them not to heal you. (Or if you get a healer who is familiar with the build, ask him to heal you only when you are under great pressure or when you ping your healthbar)
2) When the timer hits about 10 seconds, use Illusion of Weakness and Signet of Agony to sacrifice health. Initially, this will make you drop to 1hp, which will allow for a maximum power initial spike.
3) Use Grenth's Balance, followed up by Phantom Pain, Shatter Delusions and Overload to spike an ennemy (if done correctly and hitting a spell on overload, the ennemy should die).
4) Use Distortion to counter meelee attackers and as an interrupt buffer (if you want to rez for instance).
5) Use Grenth's Balance as self heal as well as as powerful spiking skill.
Counters*Team members healing you (mainly whammos with healing breeze)
*Lag
*Not paying attention at any time
*Glyph of Sacrifice and Glyph of Essence
*Ranged attacks, mainly from hights. (Pvp players generally don't take longbows, but range and strength of bow and spear attacks increase with height...)
*Magbane Shot rangers. Your spike will hit before their arrow, but Magbane Shot is unblockable so if you chose a target other than the magbane shot ranger and relied on distortion to keep you safe from ranged attacks, you're dead...
Notes*The initial spike should be done with your staff. Energy set should be avoided (only to clean up 1 last ennemy or something like that), and defensive set is obvious when it should be used...
*A downside of this spike is that you don't have much choice of who to spike first. If the ennemy team has an elementalist, he will almost surely have to be your first target. Generally, the ennemy closest to you has a great chance of killing you, almost obliging you to spike him initially
*A more advanced tactic against this build is to let 2 players run towards you, the furthest one from you being a caster. Right before the 1st player's aggro bubble hits yours he will turn around and run, letting the caster behind him hit you and thus kill you. Anticipating this tactic is vital...
*A good tactic on your side is to act as a leecher, thus drawing the attention away from yourself. Once all players have engaiged in combat, make sure you have picked your target and go for the kill!
*Watch out for the coral on one of those maps. It damages you when you walk on it. Do not kill yourself on it, use it to your advantage!
*If you want to sacrifice health with Signet of Agony: You are safe to use it if your health is 193 or more... (193 will make you drop down to 1hp).
