Hey guys
You might have heard me ranting off about being scammed by some scumbag in Temple of ages on the weekend. I got ripped off for about 80k because i didnt check the transaction boxes properly and assumed that all GW players are as in our guild, good honest people.
However i contacted GW support to maybe get this player banned or some other punishment for scamming me. It seems from there reply no action is going to taken against this git.

Just be sure to be very careful when trading, I cant believe he caught me out, but he did.
The scumbags name is La Haine De Diablo.

Transactions and other player interactions that take place in the game world - such as when trading - often involve a certain amount of trust. Occasionally, some players may fail to live up to their end of an agreement, or act in a less than honest manner. Unfortunately as such acts our outside of our control, the Support Team is unable to force players to live up to their end of the bargain or replace any items or in-game currency that may have been lost. I apologise for any frustration that this may cause.

However, the Support and Development teams are always looking for ways to make trades and other transactions more secure. For example, the Trade window now notifies players if an offer has been changed, with a red warning message. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for how transactions such as this can be made more secure, as the Development team looks closely at player feedback when making changes to the game.

If you feel that the player in question has violated the User Agreement or Rules of Conduct in any other way than previously described, please let us know and I will investigate the issue further.

If you can think of anything that could improve the trading system to stop scammers, post and maybe i'll email them.

I was thinking the way he caught me out was because of a quantity change that i didnt notice... perhaps GW could make the tiny quantity number in the corner of the trade box bigger and bolder maybe 1/4 the size of the box area..... so you dont focus so much on the item icon but also the quantity of items....... or even a separate box underneath with a big bold quantity in it.

Hmm yes it would help to focus on any changes that go on

also maybe rare items have a standard price tht have a set amount it can go as low as but no limit as to as high.

Maybe if transation is changed a new one has to start ? to begin a new trade

Excellent idea clay! so the price of a rare material item cant be traded for less than it would if you traded it to a rare material trader unless you check a box to allow trade between friends.

i'm a nightmare to trade with, i take forever at the best of times but i shall look out for that evil person and take him out if i ever see him rest assured.
